Member Benefits of the Illinois Police Association

The IPA is the oldest and largest Police association in the State of Illinois, and is a not-for-profit organization, and as such all benefits accrue equally to the members. Features of membership in the Illinois Police Association include:

Death Benefit: $20,000.00 if killed in the line of duty.

Annual Conference: Held every year at alternating sites within the State of Illinois. The Conference is a two (2) day event featuring Association Business meetings and opportunities for socializing at hospitality suites, and the Saturday night banquet.

Proposal of legislation: Beneficial to Police Officers and Law Enforcement.

Local Division Meetings: Where you can participate in the IPA on a local level and benefit from meeting and discussing issues with fellow Officers.

Subscription to the IPA Journal: Receive your Official Journal on line at www.illinoispoliceassociation.org To receive a hard copy, contact the IPA office for further information.

Illinois Police Association – PAID UP LIFE MEMBERSHIP

PAID UP LIFE MEMBERS – Active members who are retired and receiving a pension and have paid dues in the Association for at least twenty five (25) years may opt for Paid up Life membership. A Paid up Life Member may return to Active Member status by again paying Active membership dues.

SECTION 5 – LIFE MEMBERS. Upon the completion of their term in office, Past Presidents shall become Life Members and shall be exempt from dues and enjoy all the privileges and benefits of an Active Member for the remainder of their lives.
